A car will be required to get to Famara this small but busy beach side village is well worth the visit, property here backs onto the beach. The beach is long great to walk along in the morning or early evening, there are a lot of natural sandy areas to sunbathe popular with the locals who camp out on the weekends.

This is a popular beach for organised surfing groups to surf with an instructor as the currant here can be dangerous if not careful. There is under water lava cooled and formed by the sea that changes the currant beneath the waves, Body boards are popular to use here they are short versions of the larger boards people use, as the waves are great for this type of activity.
