Some of the property here has been built using part of the Lava field were air pockets formed when the lava was cooling, here you can visit the former house of the famous Cesar Manrique, a renowned artist of the Island who used part of the lava field for his house.

Tahiche is inland away from the busy resorts but is within easy commuting distance, if you enjoy walking a good stout walk to Costa Teguise can be made with many shops and restaurants to be enjoyed offering a wide choice of food to suit every pocket, and of course the beach is along from the shops.
