This is a popular town for holiday homes there are private villas with pools to rent. Tias is a short ride from the air port you can get a taxi. The town is used by the locals there are restaurants a supermarket and all the shops you would need while on your holiday, there are tapas bars and take away outlets. A car is not essential as there is the bus service and the taxi rank is in the main high street. The beach can be found in Puerto Del Carman looking down from Tias which can be walked too with the beach running the length of this resort offering even more shops and attractions and being a more noisy resort than Tias you get the best of both towns when staying in Tias.
